C-STAR (Convention – Safety Technology Action Result) is an innovative concept that reimagines public safety through a collaborative and hospitality-focused public-private partnership model.
It is an ecosystem that connects people, information, and resources to better serve our city, our clients, and their event attendees. By leveraging community partnerships and technology, C-STAR extends Seattle Convention Center’s reach, enhances civic engagement, and delivers greater impact without relying solely on public resources.
C-STAR can help visitors, event attendees, and others with:
Wayfinding and transportation, such as convention center directions, and public transit options, routes, and access points
Reporting concerns
Referrals to community and social service resources
A quick response during urgent situations
Results for everyone:
Guests who feel informed, welcomed, and looked after
Team members who enjoy a supported workplace
Visitors and neighbors who receive help in the moment
A downtown community that feels more connected and cared for
Funded and staffed by SCC at 810 Pike Street, C-STAR strengthens downtown Seattle as a destination—enhancing safety, improving accessibility, and creating a more welcoming, connected experience that encourages visitors to explore beyond the convention center and into the heart of the city.
Currently staffed Tuesday-Saturday, 7:30am-4:00pm.
