This appointment marks a significant step in advancing SCC’s hospitality-focused safety initiatives across its 14-acre downtown campus.
Anderson joins SCC following a distinguished career with the King County Sheriff’s Office, where he served in a broad range of investigative, supervisory, and executive leadership roles. Most recently, he held the position of Undersheriff, overseeing operational and administrative functions as the second in command of the Sheriff’s Office.
Anderson also brings extensive experience in emergency operations. He has participated in, coordinated, and led responses to large‑scale incidents such as civil unrest, natural disasters, and major planned events. His background includes a secondary assignment overseeing police operations at Seattle’s Lumen Field, where he supported public‑safety planning for high‑attendance sporting events and concerts. As Undersheriff, he collaborated closely with executive leaders across King County on policy development, implementation of statewide police-reform laws, and crime reduction.
Reporting to Krista Daniel, Vice President of Event Operations, Anderson will lead SCC’s safety, security, and emergency-management operations, helping ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests, visitors, and SCC team members. His responsibilities also include overseeing C-Star, a street-level, integrated public safety and community resource office, scheduled to open in August.
